I’m standing here in the pouring rain, I’m waiting for you.
Without any shelter, I’m drenched to the bone.
My head is aching from all the thoughts that are passing through
They’re my last resort, ‘cause I’m thinking of you.
And as I’m standing there the picture starts to blur,
It’s fading – I’m feeling lost.
I’d appreciate your coming now, ‘cause it’s getting cold (so cold).
I can’t express where I’m going through
Sometimes I think I’m in paradise
The image lingers on and you too
I can see the fire burning in your eyes
This should be love without disguise.
When you turn up you say you left a long time ago,
You don’t give reasons, just an umbrella with holes.
Your arguments are lousy but there’s no way to win
